Program Overview
Bob Fioretti, candidate for Chicago Mayor, joins Chicago Newsroom’s Ken Davis this week for a conversation about his campaign and his vision for Chicago. They discuss recent allegations about the corruption of Alderman Solis and former city official Victor Reyes. Fioretti also asserts that he has never received any campign funds or contributions from former Finance Committee chair Ed Burke. He explains how the Emanuel administration redistricted him out of his ward, creating a new second ward more favorable to the developers of the proposed Lincoln Yards. He says he favors a fully elected school board and that he will sign the Chicago Police consent decree. He says a new commuter tax will help close the vast funding gap facing Chicago’s pension debts.
