If you are a Chicago resident, take our free Orientation. Afterwards, start producing your own show by signing up for one of our classes.
Chicago residents can choose from a wide range of affordable classes to gain the skills needed to make a video fit for TV. Once you complete the training and become a CAN TV Producer Member, you'll have access to digital cameras, editing software, a TV studio and much more.
Starting January 1, 2023, the producer member fee is $100.00. Producers can pay the fee now to reserve studio dates and equipment usage in January.
CAN TV Classes
In three 3-hour sessions, you will gain the post-production experience needed to combine video, audio, and titles into a complete show.
Prerequisite: Orientation
Cost: $200
Three 3-hour sessions will give you the hands-on experience and skills to use a portable digital video camera, audio equipment, lights, and more.
Prerequisite: Orientation
Cost: $75
In three 3-hour sessions, you will gain the post-production experience needed to combine video, audio, and titles into a complete show.
Prerequisite: Orientation
Cost: $100
Learn how to produce a multi-camera show in the field in real-time, which saves you time on editing.
Prerequisite: Orientation
