Studio Audience Needed for Special LGBTQ Show
Coming out is a personal and, in some cases, political statement of identity. Get further insight and be a part of the studio audience for “Emptying the Closet: The Personal and Political of Coming Out” on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:30 p.m.
Studio doors will open here at 6 p.m. This show is being recorded for National Coming Out Day and will provide a glimpse into what coming out means to individuals and communities in Chicago and beyond.
It will feature two storytellers from OUTSpoken, followed by a panel discussion featuring Tracy Baim, publisher of the Chicago Reader; John D’Emilio, author and scholar on queer studies; and Channyn Lynne Parker, a transgender rights advocate and external relations manager at Howard Brown Health Center.
If you and a guest(s) would like to be members of the audience (its’ FREE to attend!), give us a call at 312-738-1400 or email us at rsvp@cantv.org. Limited seating is available, so an RSVP is required.
