Passion at Work

July 25, 2019

Sometimes life can get a little hectic. But on this Wednesday evening, LaDonna Tittle is settling into a quiet, familiar place: CAN TV’s Edit Station #2.

The accomplished Chicago radio personality, when not busy with recurring acting roles on the Showtime series The Chi or the upcoming Comedy Central series South Side, can be found here at CAN TV diligently and delicately editing her own, long-time TV series, Cookin’ Wit Tittle (CAN TV19, 7 p.m. Thursdays and 2 p.m. Fridays). To say she is active is an understatement.

“I call it contagious enthusiasm,” said LaDonna.  “But I’ve really always wanted my own TV show. Who knew I’d be doing it 15 years later, and I absolutely love it.”

But LaDonna’s fear of technology almost prevented her from ever taking that first step into TV.

“I admit that I was intimidated back then of stepping into the high-tech world: the cameras, the lighting, and the computers,” said LaDonna. “But I said to myself that you’re either going to be a part of it or out of it.  And I’m so thankful for CAN TV and their instructors who helped me get over my technology fear.”

Since her CAN TV debut in 2005, LaDonna has produced nearly 450 shows.  She is proud of her work at CAN TV and urges other Chicagoans to do the same and get involved.

“If you’ve got a passion and you work at it, believe me it will pay off.”
