CAN TV STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP RANKS WITH TWO KEY APPOINTMENTS
CHICAGO – February 25, 2025 – CAN TV, Chicago’s premiere hub for community access news, hyperlocal stories and educational resources, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board Chair Nikki Lang, and new Chief of Production Jeremy Frye. Both leaders bring a breadth and depth of experience that will further propel the network’s transformation into one of the leading public access television networks in the country.
About the New Board Chair:
Nikki Lang joined the CAN TV Board of Directors in February of 2024. She was unanimously elected the body’s chair, and will serve in the role through December of 2026. Lang is the head of the Diversity, Equity and Belonging at Bimbo Bakeries USA, where she leads the company’s strategic goal to build an environment and workplace with BBU’s leaders and associates that advance programs, enact policies and promote mindsets and behaviors that appreciate and value diversity, equity and belonging.
About the New Chief of Production:
Jeremy Frye joined CAN TV nearly 18 years ago serving as a part-time Production Services Coordinator. As the network’s first-ever Chief of Production, Jeremy will serve as a lead champion for the achievement of organizational effectiveness through consistent, supportive, and strategic oversight of key departments including Training, Program Services, Production Services, Non-Profit Services and Community Partners.
“Now more than ever, leadership matters,” said Darrious Hilmon, Executive Director of CAN TV. “The passion, skill and deep dedication of incredible servant leaders like Nikki and Jeremy moves the network exponentially closer to fulfilling our critical mission.”
