Keith McDonald is a dedicated Board Member of CAN TV, bringing over 27 years of experience as a Community Producer, where he produced roughly 2,000 programs and assisted in over 8,000 more. His tenure also includes six years (1998-2004) of valuable service as a CAN TV Board Member. Beyond his contributions to CAN TV, Keith has a rich background in nonprofit and civic leadership, holding key positions in organizations focused on environmental advocacy, community organizing, and educational improvement. His roles have ranged from President of The Westside Alliance for A Safe Toxic-free Environment to Vice Chair of Whitney M. Young High School Local School Council. Renowned for his humility and strong work ethic, Keith is committed to continuous personal and community betterment, showcasing his intellectual curiosity and leadership skills in every endeavor.

About Us

Established by the City of Chicago in 1983 to maximize the involvement of Chicago residents and groups in cable television, CAN TV delivers over 140 hours of original, hyper-local programming each week. Additionally, CAN TV provides coverage of events relevant to the local community and gives every Chicagoan a voice on cable television by providing video training, facilities, equipment, and channel time for Chicago residents and nonprofit groups. CAN TV's five local cable channels (CAN TV 19, 21, 27, 36, and 42) reach more than one million viewers in the city of Chicago.
