Statistics show over 10 million people are victims of domestic violence in the U.S. each year.
On CAN TV, local nonprofits are breaking the silence around domestic violence by encouraging victims to share their stories and seek help.
“CAN TV lets us reach those who are most debilitated by domestic violence: those who have limited access to information about services, people who speak little or no English, and those who are recent immigrants,” said Courtney Frederick, Development Coordinator, LifeSpan.
LifeSpan and other nonprofits that focus on domestic violence host a live call-in program every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. on CAN TV21 and on cantv.org/hotline.
